The Village Bus: Fast, Frequent, Free

The Village Bus will provide fast, free, and frequent service to College Heights residents. The current plan is to provide transportation up the hill to CSUEB, down the hill to the BART station and downtown Hayward. The high tech vehicle boasts a hybrid engine with regenerative braking, guided docking, flat, no-step entry, and traffic signal preference. Once possible, and if needed, it could operate 24 hours a day on a reliable, posted schedule. Residents would have a pass to ride free. Others could buy the pass online, or at the Village Square office.
